Our outdoor classroom is sponsored by the Parents Association. It provides an environmentally rich area for our pupils to explore nature in a garden setting. They regularly come out here on ‘mini-beast hunts’ using magnifying glasses and ‘View Finders’. In warm weather, teachers bring their class to the outdoor classroom for story time and other learning activities.
In 2009 we planted an orchard of apple and pear trees, blackberry and raspberry bushes and rhubarb. In 2014 we built three raised vegetable plots to stimulate children’s interest and to enhance their learning about growing vegetables. We also hope to raise awareness of the important role vegetables play in a healthy lifestyle for children.
We are always keen to work alongside parents so please use this form to get in contact with us. You can also contact us by telephone. Walk in appointments are not possible at the moment due to Covid – 19 restrictions. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
